This comes amid ongoing links with a whole host of high-profile players from across the world of football.
Barcelona, to this point in the transfer window, have secured a pair of first-team signings, namely Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi. Youngster Jesse Bisiwu was also brought in from Club Brugge.
The Blaugrana’s squad, though, remains short on options in several key areas, chiefly in defence, and at centre-forward. Owing to these shortages, Deco and his team of directors are currently hard at work to tie up deals for the likes of João Cancelo, Rodri, and Julián Alvarez.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s friendly victory over Swiss outfit Basel on Sunday evening, Hansi Flick was therefore drawn on the status of Barca’s market.
And the German tactician hinted at further arrivals in his response, explaining:
“It may be that we’re still missing something… we’ll see this week. The most important thing is the way we train.”
