Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ferran Torres to the French club.

Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, the final value of the deal is just below €50 million, with no variables included. The entire fee will therefore be fixed.

The development has also been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, who has given the deal his customary ‘Here we go’ seal.

The agreement brings an end to Ferran’s time at Barcelona and clears the way for the 26-year-old forward to join PSG, where he has already agreed a five-year contract.

Paperwork and medical still to come

Ferran had previously asked Barcelona, through his agent, for permission to miss Wednesday’s training session with Hansi Flick’s squad as negotiations over his departure progressed.

The 26-year-old Spanish international did not train with the Blaugrana today either, as he was hoping for the transfer to be finalised.

The two clubs have now reached a verbal agreement and are working to put the deal into the formal contractual documents. The remaining administrative steps are expected to follow shortly.

Ferran will also have to pass his medical examination with PSG before the transfer can be officially announced. It is likely that he will travel later today or tomorrow to complete the formalities.

With Barça and PSG now in agreement, however, the operation is effectively complete, barring any unexpected issue during the final formalities.

Ferran bids goodbye after five years

Barcelona signed Ferran from Manchester City back in the January transfer window of 2021 for a fee of around €55 million.

While he has not always been a permanent fixture in the team, the Spaniard has proven his worth for the Blaugrana with valuable contributions, especially in the past couple of seasons.

In fact, the Spain international enjoyed the best campaign of his career in 2025/26, pushing Robert Lewandowski for the starting spot and helping the team win La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.

The summer saw Ferran emerge as Spain’s hero at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring the match-winning goal in the final against Argentina.

The 26-year-old attacker’s contract stood to expire in 2027 but there was no renewal offer from Barcelona, which prompted him to consider a move away.

Now, Ferran will get a chance to reunite with his former mentor Luis Enrique, with whom he worked in the Spanish national team.
