Highlights! Shields Solidifies ‘GWOAT’ Status With Vicious TKO

UFC 330 wasn’t the only combat action last night (Sat., Aug. 15, 2026) as Claressa Shields (18-0) was back at it against Kaye Scott, challenging the Australian striker for her unified WBA and WBC Middleweight titles inside State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA.

The action got started early, as is the case with most of Shields’ fights, as the pound-for-pound best female fighter in the game put her foot on the gas pedal right out of the gate. Kaye, however, was more than game and stood in the pocket and went toe-to-toe against one of the hardest hitters she had ever faced.

The Shields’ speed and power advantage was pretty clear and on full display, however, as she continuously got the better of the exchanges. In round six, Shields tagged Kaye with a massive hook the rocked her and ultimately earned her a knockdown. Kay, though, was able to answer the count. But it was only a matter of time as the “GWOAT” put in overdrive and started tagging Kaye with a barrage of strikes that ultimately forced the Aussie’s corner to throw in the towel.

With the win, Shields — the five-division world champion — improves her record to 19-0 and solidifies her status as the best female boxer in the game today, if not ever, by once again becoming the unified Middleweight champion of the world. As far as what’s next for the “GWOAT,” she revealed that she is eying a fight against current WBC, WBA, IBF, and The Ring Welterweight champion Lauren Price at the end of the year.
