Liverpool and Como will face each other not once but twice on Sunday as the Premier League powerhouse hosts a rare double-header against Serie A opposition. However, only the second of those games will be televised to the public after an earlier fixture takes place behind closed doors.
Arsenal legend Cesc Fabregas returns to some very familiar surroundings as he looks to get one over his old rivals on Merseyside. Fabregas continues to impress at the Como helm, too, after leading the Italians on an undefeated run so far this summer. It’s been a more mixed bag for Liverpool as new boss Andoni Iraola has overseen back-to-back defeats against Monaco and Leeds United after beating Sunderland and Wrexham earlier in the tour. New signing Jeremy Jacquet could finally make his Liverpool debut against Como as club bosses manage his fitness carefully, while Ronald Araujo could also earn his first appearance after joining on loan from Barcelona.
