Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out nine in six innings, and Los Angeles evened the series with a 3-1 victory on Friday night. Andy Pages hit a tie-breaking homer in the fifth for the Dodgers and Tommy Edman provided an insurance run with a solo shot in the sixth. Embattled closer Edwin Díaz worked around two walks in the ninth to get his seventh save, and Mookie Betts opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning.
Robert Gasser turned in a quality start for the Brewers, giving up three runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts in 6.1 innings, but the Milwaukee bats could only produce one run on a sacrifice fly by Joey Ortiz that tied the game in the top of the fifth.
All-Star left-hander Justin Wrobleski (11-4) takes the hill for the Dodgers on Saturday, coming in with a 3.44 ERA and 1.114 WHIP in 120.1 innings over 20 appearances and 19 starts. Jacob Misiorowski (11-5) gets the nod for the Brewers. He leads the majors with 204 strikeouts, a 1.76 ERA and a 0.737 WHIP for Milwaukee in 22 starts and 133 innings.
