SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - It's the most wonderful time of the year in the Carolinas: high school football season! With the 2026 season inching closer, the Broome Centurions are previewed ahead of the home opener on Friday August 21 vs. Woodruff.

Preview:
Broome lost QB Jameson Dearybury and 1300-yard rusher Tyqwon Booker to graduation so they'll rely on either Brayden Simpson or Corley Turner to guide the offense and turn to Devon Brown and Cam McGill as RBs. Wide receivers Bryson Martin and Wyatt Bowman will be key targets as the offense turns to a new approach.
Among the five returning defensive starters are Kelvin Crook up front, LBs Nick Morgan and Eli Crowe, and DB Cooper Turner in the secondary.
