HSV keen to bring Leeds' Bornauw back to the Bundesliga Hamburger SV are interested in Leeds United centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw, according to Sky Germany. Having already reached a verbal agreement with Bornauw, HSV are hoping to sign the 27-year-old on loan with an option to buy, the report claims. Should the deal go through, it would open the door for Leeds to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi as Bornauw’s replacement. Bornauw is no stranger to the Bundesliga, having previously played for both 1. FC Köln and VfL Wolfsburg. The Belgian centre-back joined Leeds from Wolfsburg for a reported €6 million in the summer of 2025 and remains under contract with the English side until 2029.
