IndyStar has partnered with the Indy Ignite, which for a third straight year is running its high school match of the week series, this year sponsored by IU Health.
Members of the Ignite staff and mascot Pepper will be on hand at five matches this season with giveaways, activations, social media engagement and more. The initiative captures three pillars of the Ignite's community engagement mission: Building the sport of volleyball, connecting and engaging locally, and inspiring the next generation of volleyball players.
A player of the match will be selected from each match and featured on the IndyStar Sports and Indy Ignite social channels. Each player selected will also be nominated for IndyStar volleyball player of the week, which is voted upon weekly by IndyStar readers.
