The Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings will meet on Friday night for their second of three games this season. The Wings beat the Fever in the first game of the season with Paige Bueckers scoring 20 points on 10 shots while Kelsey Mitchell scored 30 for the Fever. Aliyah Boston scored 23 and Caitlin Clark added 20.
While all four of those players went on to make the 2026 WNBA All-Star game, only one of them made the cut when the WNBA on ION promoted the game on X Friday morning. Rather than feature any of the Fever’s All-Stars, the game is billed as Bueckers and the Wings facing off against Lexie Hull and the Fever.

Wings forward Arike Ogunbowale, a four-time All-Star in her own right receives second billing on the Dallas side of the graphic. Meanwhile, on the Fever’s side of the graphic Raven Johnson, the rookie who has pretty much fallen out of the Fever’s rotation over the last month, is the second Indiana player featured.
Caitlin Clark is probable
It’s one of the most puzzling graphics you could put together to promote this game. Considering Becky Hammon just took heat for sitting A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young in a nationally televised game on Sunday, it’s worth asking if the Fever are sitting all three of their All-Stars for this game. What other reason could there be for not putting them on the graphic?
As of Thursday night, both Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston were listed as probable. They’re currently expected to play, but there’s another injury report update coming on Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell, who has not missed a game all season, is not on the injury report.
So it seems like all three will be playing, which just makes the Ion graphic even stranger. The WNBA is billing the game as the “Battle of the No. 1 picks” as part of Rivalry Week with Bueckers, Boston all playing. Azzi Fudd, the top pick in the ’26 draft is out with a knee injury.

We will update this story if anything changes, but as of Friday morning it seems likely that all the All-Stars will be in the lineup when the Wings take on the Fever, despite what some of the promotional materials may suggest.
