Free-agent Darren Waller (Dolphins) has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, according to a source on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Huddle Up: Waller to the Carolina Panthers is an interesting move for fantasy purposes, as Waller could conceivably be the best pass-catching tight end they've had since Greg Olsen left. He had six touchdowns in nine games with the Dolphins last season, so perhaps Waller has some gas left in the tank? He's an interesting name to draft in deeper leagues, but is more of a free-agent pickup once we see what his role is going to be for the Panthers, if he makes the team that is.
