For the first time in a while, there will be no NASCAR race coming to screens Sunday. This week's Cook Out 400 took place Saturday night, allowing drivers to round out the weekend with some rest.
Only two weeks remain in the Cup Series regular season, with the Dollar Tree 301 and Coke Zero Sugar 400 still ahead. Following those races, only the top 16 drivers in the standings will continue onto the "Chase" playoff structure, starting with the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington.
A handful of drivers had already qualified for the playoffs prior to yesterday, including Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick. There are several still on the cusp though, like Chase Briscoe, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott and Carson Hocevar.
