Hansi Flick isn’t ruling out Barcelona making more signings before the start of the season after Sunday’s pre-season friendly win over FC Basel.
Barcelona ran out 5-2 winners thanks to goals from Karim Adeyemi, Hamza Abdelkarim, Lamine Yamal and a brace from new signing Jesse Bisiwu.
Flick was asked about potential transfers after the match, with Barca still reportedly chasing Rodri and Julian Alvarez, and offered up the following update.
“It could be that we’re missing something, we’ll see this week. There’s intensity and quality in training. I see the team raising its level and that’s the most important thing. We have to work hard to maintain the level of last season.
“It’s been a good test for us, we’re already thinking about the debut against Elche. It’s not an easy management, there are many players who have joined recently.”
Barcelona now head home for Gamper Trophy game against Al Ahly on Wednesday before heading to Elche on Sunday to begin the defence of their La Liga crown.
