Lamar Jackson is entering a season with a lot of changing parts. He has a new head coach and new offensive coordinator who are younger are changing the line of attack. That is for the best. Another new thing in camp has been big-body rookie weapon, USC receiver Ja'Kobi Lane. In a recent article, Jamison Hensley highlights how the Ravens feel about Ja'Kobi Lane at training camp. Here is what coach Jesse Minter had to say: "Early in team drills, Lane made an unbelievable one-handed grab along the sideline, which will go down as one of the best receptions in Ravens' camp history. After running a route to the right sideline, Lane had to reach back to catch Lamar Jackson's 20-yard pass with his extended right hand while falling backward to the ground. That was a great play by Ja'Kobi," Ravens coach Jesse Minter said. "He's continued to flash and make those type of plays. As for anybody, you're always searching for consistency down after down. Again, the more he shows Lamar that he's making those types of plays, the more trust they build, and that's really what training camp and what practice is all about." Lane is building that trust with the multiple-time MVP, and come the regular season, he will be a rookie who will be extremely productive. The plays he has made in camp are simply what he was doing at USC his entire tenure. It will be exciting to see him step in line and be the next great USC receiver in the NFL.
