The Baltimore Ravens could not have had a better early run for former USC receiver Ja’Kobi Lane in preseason camp. Lane started at training camp by making a play a day, and he is emerging as a potential star for the Ravens this season. He has everyone in the organization talking, which is a lead-in to an exciting season for him this year.
In a recent tweet, Jamison Hensley is reflects on what he is seeing from former USC Trojan Ja’Kobi Lane. Here is what he had to say:
"In 27 years of covering the Ravens, I’m not sure I’ve seen a rookie have a training camp quite like wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane.
Every day, Lane produces a highlight-making catch. And today, he has Derrick Henry leaping in the air in celebration."
For people who were familiar with the USC Trojans, it was clear that Ja’Kobi Lane could be a player who had the talent to be an elite receiver. At USC, he consistently made jaw-dropping plays. He ended up being an underrated receiver in the NFL draft, sliding to the 3rd round. The Ravens this season will get the benefit of getting the steal of the draft. So far in training camp, he has done nothing but give the Ravens the confidence that he will be a star.
