Jason Kelce is going to be a Bearcats Hall of Famer!
On Thursday, Aug. 13, the University of Cincinnati’s athletics department announced Kelce, 38, has been selected for induction into the James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame.
The former Philadelphia Eagles star is the final member of the university’s 50th Anniversary Class. Other inductees include Kelce’s Cincinnati and Philadelphia Eagles teammate Connor Barwin, men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins, women’s soccer record-setting goalkeeper Christy Hoffman and track and field All-Americans Loretta Blaut and Wayne Mason.
In a statement, the university said, “Kelce authored an incredible career from 2006 to 2010, transforming from a walk-on linebacker to a three-year starter on the offensive line.”

“He earned All-BIG EAST honors twice. Kelce played for head coaches Mark Dantonio, Brian Kelly and Butch Jones, leading UC to back-to-back conference championships and the 2008 Orange Bowl and 2009 Sugar Bowl. He was the Scout Team Defensive MVP in 2006 before moving to the offensive line and starting three seasons from 2008 to 2010,” the university said.
The Bearcats shared the exciting news on X and Instagram on Thursday, writing, “Walk-on Hall of Fame legend Jason Kelce will be inducted into the James P. Kelly UC Athletics Hall of Fame as part of this year’s 50th anniversary class.”
The New Heights account on X shared photos of Kelce in college and wrote, “Someone let this kid know he’s a @GoBEARCATS Hall of Famer,” after the news was shared.

The 2026 Hall of Fame Class will be inducted in a ceremony on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati. The ceremony will take place the night before Cincinnati’s 100th Homecoming football game against Texas Tech, Patrick Mahomes’ alma mater.
