Dallas (1-0) defeated Seattle (0-1), 17-7, on Aug. 15 at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
Former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III appeared in the Week 1 NFL preseason game for the Cowboys. He completed 12-of-15 passing attempts for 107 yards and one touchdown.
Milton III completed six of his first eight passing attempts. He finished the contest with a 118.6 quarterback rating and was not sacked. Milton III also recorded 10 rushing yards on seven attempts.
Former Tennessee quarterback recruiting target Sam Howell also appeared in the preseason game for Dallas. He completed 8-of-12 passing attempts for 94 yards and one touchdown, while totaling 15 rushing yards on two attempts.
Howell was a offered a scholarship by the Vols on May 23, 2017. He also unofficially visited Tennessee on Feb. 3, 2018.
"Extremely blessed to say I have been offered by the University of Tennessee," Howell announced in 2017.
The 2019 quarterback prospect played at North Carolina from 2019-21.
