The New York Giants could get a major offensive boost from a veteran running back in the near future. The Giants reportedly hosted Najee Harris on a visit on Monday, and he worked out for the team. The sixth-year running back is looking to make a return after an Achilles injury sidelined him for three games last year and would add some much-needed depth to the team's tailback room. Najee Harris joins Giants for workout, impresses John Harbaugh When asked on Monday about the visit with Harris, head coach John Harbaugh seemed receptive to making the addition and even offered a rough timeline. "He looks good in the workout," Harbaugh said. "He's not back 100%, he's not in football shape yet. If we are able to do something, it'll be a process. That would be a guy that has a lot of experience. He's a decorated vet."

But the Steelers declined the fifth-year option on the running back's contract, and he signed a one-year deal with the Chargers ahead of last season. But Harris was sidelined after just three games in Los Angeles and was not the starter during the three games in which he appeared. This injury ended his future with the franchise before it could begin, and now he's looking for a new home. If the Giants do take him and he bounces back to pre-Achilles-injury levels, it could be a massive steal for the organization.
