Although the Blue Devils have a stacked roster for the 2026-27 campaign, Duke head coach Jon Scheyer is still preparing for the future. With competition from other schools, Scheyer has begun to offer scholarships to many class of 2027 recruits to strengthen next year's team.
The most recent of which is Canadian international prospect Deng Ngor.
Ngor is a 6'8", four-star wing and is currently ranked as the No. 150 prospect in the class of 2027, according to 247 Sports. Ngor is a four-star recruit and the No. 1 ranked prospect in Ontario, Canada. Ngor gained notoriety after recently helping Canada upset Team USA in the FIBA U18 AmeriCup. There, he played with a current Blue Devil, Maxime Meyer. In five international contests for Canada, Ngor averaged 10.2 points, four rebounds, three assists and 1.2 steals.
While Ngor has yet to commit, he has narrowed his list down to four schools, one of which is Duke. Ngor is also considering Washington, Ohio State and Florida.
