Just one Georgia game ranked among the best CFB games this season

The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs' road trip to play the No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide is one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2026 college football season. Georgia plays at Alabama on Oct. 10 in what will likely be a night game with a rowdy atmosphere. The Bulldogs have not won at Tuscaloosa since the 2007 season and is 0-2 at Bryant-Denny Stadium during the coach Kirby Smart era. However, Georgia turned the tide on Alabama a bit in the 2025 SEC championship game with Georgia dominating Alabama 28-7. The Bulldogs will look to continue their momentum against Alabama in Georgia's first big road test this fall. USA TODAY Sports' Blake Toppmeyer ranks the Georgia-Alabama game among his top 10 games of the 2026 season. Toppmeyer ranks five Texas games among the top 10 games for the season, which we have to disagree with. Yes, Texas plays a tough schedule with interesting matchups, but we just don't thing all five games will materialize. I would probably put the Georgia at Ole Miss game among the top 10 games instead off Texas at LSU. I don't think a neutral fan would go wrong watching either game. What Toppmeyer said about Georgia-Alabama "This clash at Bryant-Denny Stadium will be a bit of a bellwether for Georgia’s national title potential," Toppmeyer wrote. "Gunner Stockton typically rises to the moment in big games, but Alabama is 65-3 at home the past 10 years, and Kalen DeBoer is 2-1 against Kirby Smart. The classic, 'Something’s gotta give.'
