Juventus and AC Milan could swap players

Juventus have been linked with a move for AC Milan’s Youssouf Fofana, while Milan are interested in adding Nicolas Gonzalez to their squad. The situation has raised the possibility of a stunning swap deal between the two clubs during this transfer window.

Gonzalez informed Juventus before he returned from his World Cup break that he never wanted to play for them again and did not even give Luciano Spalletti an opportunity to use him. His preference was to return to Atletico Madrid, where he was on loan during the 2025/2026 season, but the Spanish side has failed to agree terms with Juventus over his signature.

Gonzalez Could Leave Juventus

Both clubs may have stopped talks over adding Gonzalez to the Los Che squad, meaning he is now an unwanted player at Juventus after making it clear that he wants to leave the technical project.

Juventus are preparing for the season without Gonzalez in their plans, and his future could now be decided through a potential exchange with Milan. The Bianconeri have already accepted that the attacker wants a different challenge, while they could use his situation to strengthen another area of their squad.

A move to Milan would allow Gonzalez to continue his career away from Turin, while Juventus could receive a player who fits their current plans. The proposed deal could therefore benefit both clubs if they can reach an agreement over the terms.

Fofana Emerges as Juventus Target

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are open to sending Gonzalez to Milan in exchange for Fofana, who is not wanted at the San Siro. The French midfielder has been told that he needs to find a new club, creating an opportunity for the Bianconeri to make their interest concrete.

Fofana is a profile that Spalletti can work with in Turin, and Juventus could benefit from having him in their squad this summer. His arrival would give the manager another midfield option, while Gonzalez’s departure would help resolve a difficult situation surrounding his future.

The potential swap remains an intriguing possibility as both clubs assess their squads. Juventus want to strengthen their team while finding a solution for Gonzalez, and Milan could see an opportunity to bring in a player they want while allowing Fofana to leave. If discussions progress, the two clubs could agree on a deal that suits both sides.
