Juventus’ search for a new goalkeeper has taken them to Real Madrid, where they have now registered their interest in signing Andriy Lunin on loan from the Spanish giants. The Bianconeri are continuing to explore their options in their efforts to find a goalkeeper capable of becoming their first choice.

Lunin has been one of the finest goalkeepers in Spain when allowed to play for the European giants, but he remains the second choice at the club. Juventus see his situation as an opportunity and want to offer him regular first-team football if they can agree a temporary move.

Juventus Explore Loan Agreement

Juventus want to sign Lunin with a promise of regular first-team football, and the Bianconeri are attempting to arrange a temporary agreement during this transfer window. The club have already struggled to secure several of their preferred targets, making the Real Madrid goalkeeper another important option.

Defensa Central says Lunin is the latest in a long list of goalkeepers Juventus have been trying to sign during this window. The Bianconeri will do their best to add him to their squad, although they still need to convince Real Madrid to agree to the proposed loan.

Juventus have been unable to sign most of their targets this summer and now hope Madrid will allow Lunin to join them for the 2026/2027 season. They would intend to use him as their first choice throughout the campaign.

Lunin Faces Difficult Decision

If Juventus can sign a goalkeeper on loan this summer, it would allow them to pursue Alisson Becker in the summer of 2027, when the Brazilian is due to become a free agent. He remains their dream target for the position, making a temporary solution potentially useful beyond the immediate future.

Lunin would likely welcome the opportunity to become the first choice at a top club such as Juventus, particularly if it gives him regular playing time. However, a loan move could also create a difficult situation for him because it would mean returning to the bench at Real Madrid after just one season.

For Juventus, the proposed arrangement could provide a solution to their current goalkeeping problem while allowing them to maintain their long-term plans. However, they still need Real Madrid to agree to the move, while Lunin must also decide whether a temporary spell away from Madrid is the right option for him.
