Juventus price Gatti out of a move from Italy but interest remains

Olympique Marseille have been priced out of a move for Federico Gatti this summer, with the Ligue 1 side deciding they cannot meet Juventus’ asking price. The Bianconeri are open to Gatti leaving during the transfer window because he is no longer a regular starter, while the arrival of Jhon Lucumi could make it even more difficult for him to secure playing time.

However, Gatti remains one of the most important figures in the Juventus dressing room, and the club would still be happy to keep him. His importance within the squad means they are not under pressure to sell unless a suitable offer arrives.

Marseille End Interest in Gatti

As reported by Tuttojuve, Marseille asked about the conditions of a potential deal and were told they would need to pay 25m euros for Gatti’s signature. The Ligue 1 side immediately ended their interest, considering the defender too expensive at that price.

The situation could leave Gatti facing another season in Turin, particularly if other interested clubs are unwilling to meet Juventus’ demands. The Bianconeri remain open to his departure, but they will not allow him to leave without receiving an amount they consider appropriate.

Gatti himself is happy to remain a Juventus player and believes he can continue fighting for more playing time at the club. His determination to compete for his place means he is not actively seeking an exit from Turin.

Gatti Keeps Options Open

However, Gatti would accept a move if an offer arrived that guaranteed him regular first-team opportunities. That could have been the case at Marseille, but the French club’s decision to end their interest means that possibility has now disappeared.

The defender is therefore looking ahead to the new season in Turin and will continue working to earn opportunities under Juventus. The arrival of Lucumi could make competition for places tougher, but Gatti remains prepared to fight for his position.

According to the report, several other clubs are still in the running to sign Gatti this summer. His future therefore remains uncertain, although Juventus appear willing to keep him unless another club meets their asking price.

For now, Gatti can focus on preparing for the new campaign and proving that he can still play an important role for the Bianconeri. If a suitable offer arrives, Juventus and the defender may reconsider their plans.
