The Detroit Tigers fan who is also a bourbon enthusiast has a new bottle to get excited about. Blue Run Spirits and the Detroit Tigers are releasing Detroit Tigers Blue Run Blueprint Series Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a limited-edition run that celebrates the team's 125th season. Released this week, the 105-proof spirit's bottle has the Blue Run's signature Viceroy butterfly done in Tigers orange and navy blue with an Old English D.
“The Detroit Tigers have built a legacy that extends far beyond the field, connecting generations of fans through shared traditions, unforgettable moments and a deep sense of pride in the city,” said Blue Run Spirits' senior marketing manager Susie McInerney in a press release about the new product. “This Blue Run Blueprint Series release gave us an opportunity to honor that history through both the whiskey and the bottle. It is a distinctive expression created for Tigers fans to open, share and make part of their own celebrations.” Retailing for $69.99, the Detroit Tigers Blue Run Blueprint Series can be found at Total Wine, or ask your favorite liquor store to order it. Its tasting notes describe a soft floral nose with subtle orchard fruit, then warm baking spices, a touch of cinnamon and a toasted oak finish.
