NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — The Knicks’ “Champions Way” street sign from the team’s 2026 championship parade in New York City sold for more than $30,000 at a city auction.
The sign, an authentic “Champions Way” marker that hung on Broadway during the ticker‑tape parade celebrating the 2026 NBA champion New York Knicks, had been up for auction for two weeks.
The auction opened at just $100 on July 29, and it received 116 bids, with a closing bid on Tuesday.
Two anonymous bidders appeared to have entered into a last‑minute bidding war before the auction closed, with the winning bid reaching $30,500.
Officials said all proceeds will go back to the city.
Only one of the 30 limited‑edition signs created for the celebration was made available for bidding, according to officials.
