Unexpectedly, last year's No. 4 overall pick Kon Knueppel took the NBA by storm, leading the league in 3-pointers made as a rookie for the Charlotte Hornets. Not only that, but Knueppel was tremendously efficient, converting on 42.5% of his 3-point attempts. However, he did more than just shoot the ball well. During the year, Knueppel averaged 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks while playing in 81 of 82 regular season games.
With LaMelo Ball on the move to Minnesota, all eyes will be on Knueppel's growth in an extended role during the 2026-27 season. In that role, the former Duke Blue Devil will be expected to create more shots alongside teammate Brandon Miller.
With the 2026-27 season still months away, take a look at Knueppel's best highlights during his rookie season.
