The Vikings signed quarterback Kyler Murray following his release from the Arizona Cardinals. He was drafted first overall by the team in 2019 after winning the Heisman Trophy in his final season at Oklahoma. He is now looking for a fresh start in Minnesota, but some parts of his time in Arizona are continuing to pop up.
The latest version of that was comments from new Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur. After the Hall of Fame game, he was asked about the team's decision to move on from Murray shortly after he was hired.
Recently, Murray responded to the comments and said he's "not worried" about it and is focused on the job at hand in Minnesota with his new team.
He explained, “I’m not too worried about what’s going on over there. Focused on what I got going on here in Minnesota. Im glad to be here.”
Murray was named the starter for the Vikings this week over former top pick J.J. McCarthy.
