Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this week spoken publicly for the first time on the club’s objectives under the watch of José Mourinho.
Frontman Mbappé is for his part fresh off a return to base in Spain’s capital earlier this week. After being afforded an extended vacation owing to his exploits with France at the World Cup, the 27-year-old has kicked into gear preparations for the fast-approaching new club campaign.
This means that Mbappé has linked up with a whole host of new teammates at Valdebebas, including the likes of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and fellow countryman Ibrahima Konaté.
It has also seen the former Paris Saint-Germain standout afforded a first glimpse into life with the iconic José Mourinho as his headmaster.
Speaking during an exchange with the media late this week, Mbappé was therefore drawn on the name of his new boss. And the prolific goalscorer, in his response, went on to explain:
“We have one goal: win. It’s very positive to have a coach like Mourinho who knows how to win.”
