Liverpool's squad is still nowhere near finalised and there's now less than two weeks of the summer transfer window.

Before the window opened, fans expected plenty of change to occur and, while some have been made, it still doesn't feel like Liverpool are fully ready to take on the Premier League season.

Indeed, Andoni Iraola's appointment was certainly a step in the right direction but, unless he gets the players that he needs to so that he can compete against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, it'll all have been for nothing.

However, to make these deals, some of their first-team squad are going to have to be moved on which is why several players have already been linked with moves away.

And now, the Anfield outfit have just received an enquiry about one of their star players.

Valencia have made an enquiry for the transfer of Federico Chiesa

Liverpool's attack is their main problem area at the moment.

Mohamed Salah still hasn't been replaced and Hugo Ekitike's return hasn't been given a date yet.

Indeed, many links with new players have emerged and, a double deal for Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola is edging closer.

However, since barely any sales for any sort of transfer fee have occurred at Anfield this term, it's clear that some will need to be made soon.

And now, as per an update from SER Deportivos Valen via Corner Che, Valencia have made an enquiry for Federico Chiesa.

"SERDepValencia report," they wrote.

"Valencia have made official enquiries about high-profile players such as Chiesa."

Federico Chiesa should be allowed to leave Liverpool if he isn't in their plans

For the past two years, Liverpool's fanbase have wanted to see Chiesa be given a bigger role.

The attacker may not be as prolific as he used to be but, when called upon, it was clear that there's still a spark within him.

His versatility is also a key part of his game as he's always been able to play on either wing.

But, with Iraola at the helm he seems to think that the Italy international can also be used as a striker.

However, with the rumour mill going into overdrive about the deals for Mbaye and Barcola, it's unclear whether he'll even be given any playing time.

That is, especially when Ekitike is back from his injury.

Obviously, there are still a lot of moving parts that still need to be figured out but, at the moment, it does feel like this could be the end of the line for the £150,000 per week star.
