A Noah Kahan show is forcing Real Salt Lake to cross 'The Great Divide' to host its Leagues Cup quarterfinal match against Club León.
Two Liga MX teams, Club América and Toluca, had hosting privileges and will play their contests at neutral sites. Monterrey and León did not, meaning the matches usually would take place at the MLS team's home venue.
That will be the case for the Chicago Fire, who will welcome Rayados to Seatgeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois on Aug. 25, but RSL's America First Field is set to host the singer-songwriter that night. RSL will instead call the stadium of its biggest rival, the Colorado Rapids, home for a night, heading to Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado for their knockout game.
RSL's usual venue will have the pitch replaced the next day, something many venues do both after a concert – which can cause damage to the grass – and as the weather changes ahead of the season's stretch run.
