The Detroit Lions made a series of Sunday morning roster moves as they navigate training camp.
As previously reported, the Lions signed veteran running back Trayveon Williams. Detroit also inked former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe. The 26-year-old is a Kansas State product that originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in May of 2023.
Ekow Boye-Doe began the 2023 season with the Chiefs on its practice squad. The 6-foot, 177-pound corner would later be signed to the Chiefs' active roster in November of the 2023 campaign.

Boye-Doe ended the 2024 season on the New York Giants' practice squad before inking a Reserve/Future contract with the Cardinals ahead of the 2025 season. After being waived by the Cardinals in roster cuts, Arizona re-signed Boye-Doe to its practice squad on Sept. 17, 2025 and then elevated him to the active roster on Sept. 19.
The Lawrence, Kan., native has played in seven career NFL games—all with the Chiefs in 2023—logging 96 special teams snaps and 15 defensive snaps in a Week 18 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, per Pro Football Focus.
Boye-Doe played in the UFL this past spring with the DC Defenders, where he appeared in nine games, totaling seven tackles and four pass breakups.
Williams, a 5-foot-8, 206-pound running back, has played in 75 NFL regular-season games, totaling 343 rushing yards on 72 carries across time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns.
Originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Bengals in 2019, Williams played college football at Texas A&M.
In its corresponding moves, the Lions also announced the releases of running back Kye Robichaux and defensive back Loren Strickland with waived/injured designations.
