The Detroit Lions didn't perform like a top-notch team last season. They didn't even make the playoffs. But, it wasn't for lack of talent. People can debate all day and night what went wrong last season with Dan Campbell and the Lions. But, the reality is that this team lost Ben Johnson, their offensive genius, and that hurt. Still, they have stars on both sides of the field, and that makes them Super Bowl contenders. Now, the NFL is carefully rolling out its NFL Top 100 list, which is one of the most anticipated best-of players lists of the year. In it, they have three Lions players truly ruling this list. Jared Goff, Aidan Hutchinson and Amon-Ra St. Brown Shine in NFL Ranking In the piece, Lions quarterback Jared Goff came in at No. 33, defensive Aidan Hutchinson at No. 30 and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown at No. 22. That means this team has three players in the top 35 in the NFL, which is darn good. Goff's numbers show how he's grown in the NFL. "The Lions finished fourth in scoring, while Goff placed second in the league in passing yards and touchdown passes as he put up his second-lowest interception rate through five years in Detroit," they note of him. In other words, last season wasn't Goff's fault. For Hutch, they note that this past season, the player "set career highs in sacks, QB hits and forced fumbles, fighting off constant chip blocks to log a league-best 89 QB pressures. That he did all this coming off a season-ending leg injury made Hutchinson's 2025 campaign all the more impressive; he just missed out on Comeback Player of the Year honors, but made his second Pro Bowl, earned his first second-team All-Pro accolade and ranked as a Defensive Player of the Year finalist." With all three of these guys healthy for the upcoming season, the Lions could absolutely come back to roar. More NFL news:
