Liverpool are finally ready to make their move for 19-goal sensation

Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of players this summer.

The Anfield outfit needed to make many changes to their first-team squad after their poor showing last term.

And, while three players have already been brought in, there are still a few more that need to brought in before Liverpool are ready to start competing for titles again.

At the moment, their attack seems to be their main area of focus with the club not even managing to replace Mohamed Salah yet.

However, after the latest news to emerge from Anfield, that could all be about to change.

Liverpool are gearing up to make their first bid for Ibrahim Mbaye

Obviously, nobody can actually replace Salah.

The Egyptian King has been one of Liverpool's main attackers over the last few years with his performances often one of the main reasons why the Reds have even won games.

Indeed, he wasn't in the best run of form last term but, the fact that he still contributed to 22-goals across all competitions proves how much of a gap Liverpool are going to have to plug.

Victor Munoz, Federico Chiesa and Jeremie Frimpong may all be able to be used on the right but, in reality, another top-class attacker needs to be brought in.

"Liverpool should send a first offer to Paris for Ibrahim Mbaye in the coming days," Loic Tanzi shared via his personal X account.

Ibrahim Mbaye is one of the smartest signings that Liverpool could make this summer

At the moment, Liverpool's depth is rather shocking.

Although some areas of their squad look like they have plenty of quality among them, judging by the performances of some players last term, they're nowhere near ready to start competing for titles again.

However, if a deal for Mbaye got over the line, it would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Despite only being 18 years old, the winger has scored 19 goals throughout his career and has now played in 15 games for Senegal.

During those games for his country, the attacker has bagged four goals which proves how mature of a player he already is.

Since he's so young, by the time he needs to be registered for Liverpool's Premier League squad, he'll be classed as homegrown which is one of the main issues that Liverpool are facing at the moment.

Each of these things coupled with the fact that Paris Saint-Germain want to get rid of him make Mbaye one of the best signings that Liverpool could make.

The fact that he's a natural right-winger is also a huge bonus.
