Liverpool now have to battle Euro giants for ‘gifted’ sensation Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of players this summer. Plenty of changes were expected to take place at Anfield with Andoni Iraola's appointment being the first one. Since then, three new players have been brought in, but, with how broken Liverpool's first-team squad were last season, more changes need to be made. That is, especially if the Reds want to be able to compete with their title rivals such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. However, since many other clubs also want to bring in the same players that Liverpool do, deals are becoming tougher to make, especially now that we've entered the final few weeks of the window.

Chelsea have now entered the race for Liverpool target Lamine Camara Liverpool's midfield clearly needs some new players adding to it. Last season, they massively let the Reds down with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister putting in some of their worst performances for Liverpool ever. This led to fans demanding that new players were brought in but, since they don't even know who's staying at Anfield or who's leaving yet, no concrete moves have been made. However, of the many players Liverpool have been linked with, Lamine Camara feels like the most exciting prospect. However, as per an update from French journalist Sebastien Denis, it seems like the Senegal international now has another Premier League suitor lining up to make a bid for him.

"Chelsea joins the race for Lamine Camara," he shared via X. "The Blues are making inquiries and joining the fierce English battle (Crystal Palace, Nottingham, MU, Liverpool)." Liverpool need to make their move for Lamine Camara before it's too late Most people expected Liverpool to have completely changed their team around by now. As mentioned, the Reds under-delivered last term with their fifth-place finish in the Premier League far from ideal. This led to many players being linked with a switch and, even though Camara may not be a player that fans have heard much about, the fact that his current manager, Filipe Luis, called him a "gifted" player proves how good he actually is. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed the Reds' interested back in April and, since then, no moves have yet been made by the Reds. However, now that Chelsea and several other Premier League clubs have entered the race for him, they may have no other option but to fork out the €50 million (£42.7 million) that AS Monaco want for him. Here's hoping that a deal can be struck soon as it would be a hugely transformative move for Liverpool to get over the line.
