Man accused of killing parents with hammer, knife, then calling 911 to confess: report

An Arizona man allegedly confessed to killing his parents in a 911 call after attacking them with a hammer and knife, according to court documents. Jonathan Turk, 29, is accused of killing his parents, Fraser Turk, 63, and Tina Turk, 56, whose bodies were discovered in Peoria on March 31. Police say Turk called 911 around 6:29 p.m. and admitted to the killings, telling dispatchers he had attacked his parents because he was angry about being put on medication, according to court documents obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix. He then told authorities he would wait outside for officers, holding a water bottle, investigators said. Court documents indicate the victims had filed multiple mental health petitions involving Turk, including three in 2026. "We have concerns about his mental health and mental stability at this time," a prosecutor said during a court hearing. Turk faces two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder. His bond was set at $2 million cash-only, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 9.
