Rodri to Barcelona latest, Fabrizio Romano details Barca deals and Manchester City Lille plan

The market has entered the phase where noise becomes movement. According to Fabrizio Romano, this is one of those nights. His message was simple, “it’s a big night on the market”, and the headline was even simpler, “Rodri to Barcelona is a here we go.”

That is the main story. Romano said, “The deal is done” and described Barcelona and Manchester City as being in the final administrative stage, “Barcelona are exchanging all the documents with Manchester City.” He added, “the two clubs in direct contacts to finalise the deal also on the official point of view.”

There is no need to dress it up. If those words are accurate, this is one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer. Romano called it “a massive one” and “a massive story”, then explained why in blunt terms, “we are talking about a Ballond’or (winner) Because we are talking about the best player of the last World Cup. Because we are talking about a World Cup winner. Because we are talking about a Euros winner. Because we are talking about the man who won everything at Manchester City.”

Lille deal next as Manchester City reshape midfield

Romano said Manchester City are moving for Bouaddi. His wording was direct, “Manchester City have an agreement with Bouaddi on personal terms and Manchester City are expected to also to advance with Lille to close the deal in the next hours.”

He added, “Could be any moment but Bouaddi is expected to go to Manchester City very soon. It’s a matter of time.” For City, that suggests a rapid attempt to respond after Rodri’s departure.

Elsewhere, Romano briefly flagged Tottenham’s interest in Savinho. “Savinho remains the absolute top target for Tottenham and Tottenham are working on it.” That was mentioned as another live track in what he repeatedly called a frantic finish to the window.

The theme of the whole discussion never changed. “it’s going to be crazy busy for this final two weeks,” Romano said at the start, and by the end he repeated it, “in the next two weeks, it’s going to be completely completely crazy.”
