Sunrisers Leeds never found their footing after being reduced to 26 for 3 during the 25-ball powerplay. The collapse continued through the middle overs as Trent's bowlers squeezed the life out of the defending champions' batting line-up. Annabel Sutherland top-scored with 25 from 23 balls, while Dani Gibson made 22 off 16. Phoebe Litchfield was dismissed for just 10, and Sutherland's dismissal further exposed a fragile middle order. Georgia Adams and Charley Phillips were particularly effective, taking two wickets apiece for just nine and 12 runs respectively. Sunrisers Leeds were eventually bowled out for only 91 in 91 balls, leaving Trent Rockets with a straightforward target. They wasted little time.
