Manchester United Could Move In For This Talented Full-Back: What Will He Add To Carrick’s Side?

In a recent report, Belgian news outlet Nieuwsblad claimed that Manchester United could move in for Club Brugge full-back Joaquin Seys this summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting the Belgian defender this month.

Seys’ Impressive Rise In Belgian Football

Seys enjoyed a good run of form at the Belgian club in the previous campaign after he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 19-year-old participated in 55 matches for Club Brugge last season, scoring five times and earning eight assists in multiple competitions.

The talented teenager is currently one of the most gifted young full-backs in the Jupiler Pro League. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to acquire his services this off-season.

His current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to land him in this transfer window.

What Will Seys Add To Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick’s Side?

Seys is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a good crosser as well.

The Belgian sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals for his team from the wide areas. Seys is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a right-back if needed. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to land him in this summer transfer period.

We can expect Seys to add more quality to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team football at the Mancunian club in the coming years.

At 21, the future looks quite bright for Seys as long as he continues to improve with season. With all things considered, Carrick would be wise to move in for him before the end of this transfer window.
