Chelsea set a 5pm deadline for bids for Enzo Fernandez, and the airwaves are pretty quiet right now.
It doesn’t feel like it’s going to happen, although let’s remember, the deal doesn’t have to be done today – the Blues just have to get an offer which they’re willing to accept. So while the grains of sand are slipping through the hourglass, you never know what will happen at the last minute.
Maresca cautious on Enzo future

Well one place we’re not getting any answers from is Man City manager Enzo Maresca. He’s been a huge factor in the rumour pushing the midfielder to Manchester, as someone who coached Enzo with great success at Chelsea.
All the stories say that the Italian coach is the driving force in this deal, but you would’t know that from his cautious comments on the matter.
“In this moment I have to give you the same answer since day one, which will be always the same,” Maresca has just said in his press conference ahead of the Community Shield this weekend.
“He is a player from another club and I don’t think it’s correct to talk about other players. I’m not going to say anything about players who are not with us.”
