The Cal Ripken 8U World Series is coming to South Jersey.
Marlton will host the baseball tournament which features teams from the United States, Curacao, Bonaire and Latin America.
The opening ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m., following a day of first-round action.
Games will be played throughout the week, culminating with the championship game on Saturday, Aug. 22 with first pitch slated for 2 p.m. Closing ceremonies honoring the tournament’s teams and champion will follow the title game.
“This is more than a baseball tournament,” 2026 Cal Ripken 8U World Series host president Scott Hillman said in a press release. “It’s an opportunity for our community to welcome families from around the world, create lifelong memories for these young athletes, and showcase everything that makes Marlton such a special place.”
The two host teams, Marlton Orange and Marlton White, will both play on the opening day of the tournament. Marlton Orange will play Bonaire at 9 a.m. and Marlton White will play Mexico at 2 p.m.
