MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (WVNS) - 2025 was the start of a brand-new era for Meadow Bridge Football under then first-year head coach Brandon Wickline.

Now with Wickline back once again commanding this Wildcat ship, the team seems poised to make some noise in Single-A.
During the offseason, Wickline tells 59News he made sure to do an extensive overview of last season, saying he went back and rewatched game films about two to three times each.

He also credits his players for putting in the work during the offseason, getting into the gym to get both faster and stronger.
The loss of star running back Kaiden Sims is a blow for the Wildcat offense, but the team will still have star power in both Trent Roles and Bo Wykle this season.

Wickline told 59News he believes the potential is high for this Wildcats squad after going 8-4, as well as making the playoffs last season as the #10 seed in Single-A.
"Bo [Wykle] is probably 220 right now, he's gotten faster. Trent's gotten bigger and it just gives us such an advantage when you got somebody that big that can run the ball that good. Then you got Trent on the outside and I think teams will have to double-cover him. We're probably not going to overthink it that much this year," Wickline said.

The Wildcats will look to start this season on the right foot, opening up at home against Montcalm on Friday, August 29.
