Davenport Northwest Little League will take the first step in trying to accomplish that feat when it plays Sweetwater Valley of Bonita, California, on Aug. 20 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania (5 p.m. CT, ESPN2). “That’d be so amazing,” said Davenport Northwest pitcher/center fielder Cooper Thissen. “That’d be incredible if we did win it.
