Meet the Mets

The Mets beat the Padres 2-1 to pick up their fourth straight victory. Carson Benge threw out two runners at home in the first inning, becoming the first Mets player every to do so in the same inning. The second outfield assist clocked in at 103.9 mph, the third-hardest outfield assist tracked in the Statcast era. A.J. Ewing threw a runner out at home in the second, for good measure.
