MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins held their 12th training camp practice under first-year coach Jeff Hafley at the Baptist Health Training Complex on Monday, Aug. 17.
This was closed to the public but open to reporters.
All eyes were on Malik Willis, De'Von Achane and rookies such as Kadyn Proctor, Chris Johnson and Jacob Rodriguez. Rookie receiver Chris Bell was also activated to the roster but did not participate in 11-on-11.
Bell wore a red jersey.
Miami Dolphins training camp Day 12 Fins Up/Fins Down
Fins Up
Dolphins defensive backs
Lonnie Johnson had a pass breakup on Jalen Reagor from Cam Miller.
Miles Battle had a pass breakup on Jalen Tolbert.
Later, Battle nearly had an interception.
Marco Wilson and Michael Taaffe had pass breakups.
Malik Willis confidence
Malik Willis' confidence seems to be skyrocketing.
Willis fired a rocket over the middle to rookie Caleb Douglas.
Willis hit tight end Greg Dulcich for a big gain down the seam.

Willis had a strong out route to AJ Henning, who also caught a long touchdown from Cam Miller.
It was not a light-out performance by Willis, to be fair. There were also some incompletions.
But Willis is playing without fear at the moment.
Backup Cam Miller also had some good moment. On the last play of practice he hit Tahj Washington for a deep touchdown.

Quinn Ewers, Kenneth Grant out
Quinn Ewers is going to miss time with a groin strain.
This is a big deal for Ewers as he has not been very good in the summer and he would like to solidify a position as Miami's backup quarterback.
We also did not see former first-round defensive tackle Kenneth Grant in practice.
Grant is fighting with Jordan Phillips and Zeek Biggers for playing time. At times, those two later draft picks have out-performed Grant.
