Zach Sieler's status is not a question for the season-opener even though he hasn't been practicing. Kenneth Grant is week to week but will not work this week. Caleb Douglas is working today. Just needed to cool off Monday, which is why he left the field late in practice Monday. On receiver Chris Bell and whether he might be ready for the season-opener: "He's back at practice, so there's always hope. We just have to be careful, right?" Bell won't practice against the Giants and is not expected to play against them. Bell is "big, strong, fast, he can run to the football. ... I just love his play style, he plays with a violence to him." Hafley reiterates the Dolphins' receivers are going to block. "No block, no rock," he said, before admitting he didn't just make that up. Hafley explained his philosophy on joint practices vs. preseason games. He won't ask players to go full speed in the game vs. the Giants on Saturday after going full speed in the joint practice with the Giants on Thursday. He thinks that's like playing two games in three days. "Joint practices have kind of taken over," Hafley said. "And I think a lot of coaches and a lot of players would rather get their reps in those practices." Dante Trader Jr. will be limited today, doing some individual drills. Zeek Biggers "is playing really well." He's versatile, can play tackle or end, and is consistent. Receiver Jalen Reagor won't practice today.
