NBA Finals buzz continues—but it’s no longer about the New York Knicks; it’s about the Chicago Bulls.
One of the jerseys Michael Jordan wore when he won his sixth and final championship with the Bulls will be auctioned off by Pharell’s Joopiter this fall.
The famed 1997-1998 season, often referred to as “The Last Dance,” saw Jordan reach the height of his abilities in his last campaign with the Bulls. It remains the most-watched Finals in NBA history, underscoring the GOAT’s undeniable impact on the sport.

Jordan wore the present jersey during Game 3 of the Finals—the first game played in Chicago after the series was tied 1–1—during which the Bulls defeated the Utah Jazz 96 to 54. Jordan scored 24 points in just 32 minutes, with his jersey serving as a reminder of his legendary performance throughout the game and the season.
Joopiter says it is the only publicly known white 1998 NBA Finals jersey to have ever surfaced and one of the rarest game-worn Jordan jerseys in existence. It also bears the iconic 1998 NBA Finals Championship patch, linking it to one of the most celebrated seasons in basketball history.

“This is the type of object collectors wait a lifetime for—an irreplaceable artifact that transcends basketball to become a piece of global cultural history,” Caitlin Donovan, Joopiter’s global head of sales, said in a statement. “We are proud to present what we believe is one of the defining collecting opportunities of our generation and to continue redefining what is possible in the sports memorabilia market.”
The jersey will headline a landmark auction titled Driven to Greatness. Bidding is due to kick off on September 15, with the auction house expecting the lot to hammer down for between $10 million and $15 million. That means the jersey could well go down in auction history, eclipsing another Jordan jersey that sold for $10.1 million at Sotheby’s in 2022. The record for the most expensive piece of game-worn sports memorabilia is held by Babe Ruth’s 1932 World Series “Called Shot” jersey, which sold for $24.1 million in 2024.
“Driven to Greatness is about the spirit of someone who changed the way the world saw what was possible in basketball and in sports in general,” adds Pharrell Williams. “The Last Dance is a piece of history you can hold and is a reminder that the extraordinary can transcend the ordinary.”
In the lead-up to the sale, Joopiter will hold events in New York and Los Angeles from September 15 to 20, giving guests a chance to preview the item.
