Milton (Ga.) junior kicker Ryan Jung is now eligible to play for the Eagles this fall after appealing a ruling by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) that previously said he was ineligible earlier this month. Jung is considered the No. 1 kicker in the 2028 recruiting cycle.
Jung, who transferred to Georgia powerhouse Milton from IMG Academy (Fla.), was ruled ineligible by the GHSA on Aug. 5. The initial ruling came as a surprise to the Michigan commit, as he explained to TheWolverine.com.
“I was pretty shocked because I thought I was going to be going to be eligible because we followed all the rules,” Jung, who lived in Tennessee as a freshman before going to IMG, told Ethan McDowell. “According to the rules, we should be eligible.”
