\n MLS and Adidas are back with a fresh round of kits for the MLS Archive Collection. \n This year's deployment features throwback/fauxback kits that celebrate the "nostalgia, pride, and passion of eight soccer cities that connect both past and present while honoring each club’s history, culture and identity," MLS said in a news release. \n Teams included in this year's Adidas-MLS kit launch are: Austin FC, CF Montréal, Chicago Fire FC, Houston Dynamo FC, Orlando City SC, Philadelphia Union, Real Salt Lake and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. These eight clubs join the 10 that were part of the 2025 collection and the five that were in the initial 2024 edition. \n Here's a breakdown of each of the eight new MLS Archive Collection kits: \n Austin FC \n

\n With "The Violet Crown," the club moves away from its core colors of bright green and black for the first time. \n CF Montréal \n

\n This one kicks it back to 1993, when the Montréal Impact played their first pro game away from home. \n Chicago Fire FC \n

\n This one is an homage to the club's 2000 away jersey with a bold "CHICAGO" wordmark across the chest. The club won the U.S. Open Cup and reached the MLS Cup final that season. \n Houston Dynamo FC \n

\n There's a lot going on with this one, as it not only commemorates the 20th anniversary of the club's first MLS Cup win, but also features the ceiling pattern of the Houston Astrodome. The NASL's Houston Stars (1967-68) and Houston Hurricane (1978-80) called the Astrodome home. \n Orlando City SC \n

\n Orlando City also attempts to tie together decades of local soccer history with a kit that has a 1980s wordmark and the design of the Questra match ball used during the 1994 World Cup, during which the Citrus Bowl hosted five matches. \n Philadelphia Union \n

\n This cream-colored kit − "a throwback to the 90s, a decade that gave Philly its leading edge" − features a snake-wrapped Liberty Bell. \n Real Salt Lake \n

\n In addition to featuring the club's original "Real Salt Lake" jersey wordmark this kit highlights Utah's ski culture, capturing "the main character energy of the mountains." \n Vancouver Whitecaps FC \n

\n The club originally founded as the Vancouver 86ers kicks it back four decades to 1986 to celebrate that history. \n All items from the MLS Archive Collection are now available at MLSstore.com. \n This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: MLS and Adidas launch Archive Collection with eight retro kits
