The San Francisco Giants lost yesterday. They lost to the Colorado Rockies, specifically. The Colorado Rockies, who are one of the few teams in baseball as bad as the Giants.
They lost the game and, in turn, they lost the series. It was a home series. I’m beginning to think that they’re not that good at baseball, folks.
Mercifully, the Giants don’t play today. You don’t have to deal with the double whammy of having it be Monday and having to watch the Giants play. You can just handle the former and worry about the latter on Tuesday.
But Tuesday will come, and with it, Giants baseball. San Francisco kicks off a six-game road trip, which jumpstarts a span where they’ll play 13 games in 12 days.
First up is the Cleveland Guardians, and old friend Patrick Bailey. Those games are Tuesday and Wednesday at 3:40 p.m. PT, followed by a Thursday getaway game at 10:10 a.m. PT. Then it’s on to Fenway Park, where Rafael Devers will play for the first time as a visitor, and likely be joined by Marcelo Mayer. The Giants’ games against the Boston Red Sox are Friday at 4:10 p.m. PT, Saturday, at 4:15 p.m. PT, and Sunday at 12:10 p.m. PT.
Those teams are better than the Giants. A lot better than the Giants. Let’s see how it goes.
