Jalen Hurts has gone viral recently after a clip of his pass getting intercepted, with one former star revealing some important information about it.
In the clip, Quinyon Mitchell intercepted a pass from Hurts during practice, which caught the eye of several fans, especially since the clip was posted by the Eagles’ official social media accounts.
And after one former NFL star gave a peek behind the curtain at how these videos are posted, fans are worried the Eagles may have made a huge mistake.

Taking to X, former NFL star Breiden Fehoko explained why Jalen Hurts’ viral clip from practice is an even worse look when considering how involved NFL PR teams are in their social media activity.
“Things like this are crazy when you realise social media teams have to get approval of posts through the head team PR team.”
Fellow former NFL star Emmanuel Acho also added to this, saying, “5 million views in 4 hours. I won’t guarantee somebody gets fired for this, but given my experience with the lengths people go to protect Jalen, somebody getting cussed out for sure and then may get fired.”
One fan on X wrote, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen an NFL team’s social media account just firing up clips of their own QB getting picked off…”
Former NFL OL Geoff Schwartz echoed this sentiment, noting, “Odd choice for a social media clip.”
Sports analyst Todd Fuhrman questioned this decision from the Eagles’ social media team, writing, “Putting your starting QB on blast when there are already rumblings he can’t use the middle of the field is a choice.”
Barstool Sports’ Max Dolente came to Hurts’ defense, claiming, “Guess no quarterback in the NFL is allowed to throw an interception in camp these days.”
And lastly, one fan joked, “It isn’t fun to joke about Hurts if the Eagles are doing it, too.”
The decision to post the clip has been questioned and even widely panned by fans and analysts alike, as they feel it contributes negatively to the conversations people have been having about the franchise’s superstar.
Hurts has come under fire over the last few years for his poor passing down the middle of the field, and this clip isn’t going to do much to dispel those criticisms.
However, there is something to be said about people overreacting to the clip. While Hurts admittedly threw a poor pass, it was him doing so in training.
The only difference between Hurts and other elite quarterbacks in the league is that the latter don’t have their poor passes uploaded to social media by their franchises’ social media teams.
