Noah Ray added to Bemidji State volleyball coaching staff

Aug. 14—BEMIDJI — A new face will be added to the Bemidji State volleyball coaching staff. Noah Ray has been added to interim head coach Hahni Johnson's staff, Bemidji State announced Thursday. "We are so excited to welcome Noah to the Beaver family and are grateful for the experience, energy and knowledge he brings to our program," Johnson said in a release. "His experience across collegiate and club volleyball, along with his successes in building and developing programs, will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes. Noah brings a passion for the game and a commitment to helping athletes grow, and I'm excited to have him alongside me as we continue to build Beaver Volleyball and compete at a high level in the NSIC." Ray joins BSU following a successful run at Eureka College in Illinois as the men's and women's teams' head coach. He helped launch the men's program in May 2025, leading them to a 38-9 overall record and a No. 9 ranking in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division II rankings. He was named 2026 NVCF Coach of the Year, on of three Coach of the Year honors he has earned in his career. He was previously head coach at men's and women's programs at St. Andrews, Marian University Wisconsin and Birmingham-Southern. As an assistant at Juniata College in Pennsylvania, he helped the Eagles capture a conference championship and advance to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight.
